This policy explains what personal data AlosMarkets ("we", "us") collects, how we use it, and your rights. For any privacy question, contact support@alosmarkets.com.

1. Data we collect

Account data — your email address and a securely hashed password (we never store your password in plain text).
Billing data — handled by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers and subscription status; we do not store card numbers.
Technical and security data — your IP address (used for security and rate-limiting) and audit records of key account, billing, and admin actions.
Waitlist data — if you joined our waitlist, the email you gave.

2. How we use your data

To provide and secure the service, authenticate you, process your subscription, send transactional emails (verification, password reset, receipts and account notices), and meet legal obligations.

3. Legal bases (UK GDPR)

We rely on: performance of our contract with you (to provide the service and billing); our legitimate interests (to keep the service secure and prevent abuse); consent where applicable; and compliance with legal obligations.

4. Third parties who process data for us

Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
Resend — delivery of transactional email.
Railway — application hosting and our PostgreSQL database.

These providers process data on our behalf under appropriate safeguards. Some processing may take place outside the UK/EEA; where it does, we rely on appropriate transfer safeguards.

5. Cookies

We use essential cookies only: a session cookie to keep you logged in and a CSRF cookie to protect form submissions. We do not currently use analytics or marketing cookies.

6. Retention

We keep account data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards. Security and audit logs are kept for a limited period. We delete or anonymise data when it is no longer needed.

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or port your data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, email support@alosmarkets.com. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

8. Security

We protect your data with measures including password hashing, encrypted transport (HTTPS/TLS), and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe.

9. Children

Our Services are intended only for users who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you are under 18, please do not use the Services or provide us with any personal data. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a person under 18, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a person under 18 has provided us with personal data, please contact us at support@alosmarkets.com so we can remove it.

We may update this policy; the date above shows the latest version. Material changes will be notified where appropriate.
